Display tables made from reclaimed elements

Customer: Liberty & Co
Brief: To design and make two large tables for the display of shop merchandise.

These tables were made using reclaimed cast iron spindles originally from County Hall London. The tops are reclaimed slate with some traces of the original paint. The only new addition was a lower shelf made of oak which I ebonised to match the colour of the slate.

Brief: Large scale patinated planters







These planters were produced in collaboration with Avant Garden Ltd and were based on series of old industrial containers from Belgium. The project involved making a die to stamp the ridged pattern.

Three old adapted iron machinery bases used to present three burnished zinc tops. One of the tops being studded to suit the base.

Circular table with a zinc top with a studded geometric floral motif.

Brief: To design and make a table to seat eight people with a circular zinc top

This base for this table was made from three old cast iron elements which I adapted with the manufacture of a central 'hub'. The top is made in three sections with a central studded geometric panel in the form of a six petaled flower to compliment the base. The top is 140cm diameter

Oval oak table with a studded zinc top

This table was a commission for a private customer for an extending dining table.  The top slides apart to reveal a leaf which slots in to extend the table. The top is hand formed in zinc and folded over the edge and under the top with a studded edge
